Appealing a moderation action
Updated Unknown
We have a strict no mercy appeals policy. Please do not submit an appeal for a moderation action unless you have new information that could affect the decision.
Our moderation team will never send you a Direct Message about your ban and will never allow appeals through non-official means. For more information, please view the information below regarding how to appeal.
The vast majority of moderation in the community is done by human staff members. Humans make mistakes, and that is why we have an appeals process. This process will allow you to request a review of any moderation action taken against you.
What do I include in my appeal?
- If your appeal is based on innocence, you need to prove your innocence. While we do our best to verify evidence before acting upon it and usually involve you in this process, sometimes false evidence can still slip through.
- If your appeal is based on the correctness of the moderation action, you simply need to state what the correct duration or action would have been, or argue why the moderation action is invalid altogether.
Appealing
Website Bans
Discord Bans
- Appeal through the website by opening a ticket. Make sure to mention that you are appealing a Discord ban.
- Appeal through our Appeals server by opening a ticket
In the past, we used to issue Permanent Bans for relatively minor infractions. All bans issued on or before March 23, 2025 are considered Legacy Bans and they are appealable even if the user is guilty.
⚠️ This only applies to Discord Bans.
Fluxer Bans
- Appeal through the website by opening a ticket. Make sure to mention that you are appealing a Fluxer ban.
The outcome
If you do not agree with the outcome, you must dispute the outcome in the same ticket. You will usually have 24 hours to do so, starting from the moment the Appeal Team gets back to you with their decision. If you do not contest the outcome, you forfeit your right to seek re-review of the appeal from higher staff later.
Sometimes, we use automated systems to moderate accounts. Appeals for automated moderation actions will be denied by default if an appeal is submitted within 24 hours, as human moderators will review automated moderation actions as soon as possible.
If your automated moderation action is still in effect after 24 hours, then you may appeal if you still feel the moderation action was incorrect.
